The mission of the Contaminated Sites Program is to protect public safety, human health and the environment by identifying, overseeing and conducting the cleanup and management at contaminated sites in Alaska and by preventing releases from underground storage tank systems.
The program oversees and conducts assessment and cleanup of contaminated sites in Alaska based upon risk to human health and the environment.
